Paleontology & Evolutionary Biology Dept

The Paleontology & Evolutionary Biology Department teaches students to reconstruct evolutionary history by combining fossil-record and comparative-anatomy data with phylogenetic modeling and extinction-dynamics simulation. Students apply real fossil data to phylogenetic-tree analysis and extinction simulation as project work, graduating ready to take their first steps as researchers who reconstruct and interpret past biodiversity using fossil evidence together with quantitative models.
