Researchers Sea-Eun Park and Yun-Ha Jung Graduate and Advance to Graduate School
[Jeonju=GeoVis] Sea-Eun Park, a master's student researcher, and Yun-Ha Jung, an undergraduate researcher, from the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL), announced their successful graduation.
Sea-Eun Park completed her master's program and will advance to the doctoral program to continue her research. During her master's program, she achieved outstanding research results, including numerous presentations at international conferences and winning best paper awards.
Yun-Ha Jung completed her undergraduate program and will advance to the master's program, embarking on her full-fledged graduate research journey. She has shown deep interest in geophysics and excellent academic achievement since her undergraduate years.
Both researchers will continue their research in the Geophysics Computing Lab, which is expected to further strengthen the lab's research capabilities and continuity.
Sea-Eun Park will conduct in-depth research in CCS monitoring technology and anisotropic seismic imaging in her doctoral program. Based on her experience in international collaborative research, she aims to produce world-class research results.
Yun-Ha Jung plans to start research in her master's program focusing on AI application of geophysical exploration techniques and signal processing technology. She will build professional research capabilities based on the solid foundation she established during her undergraduate studies.
The Geophysics Computing Lab continues its tradition and research culture through continuous talent nurturing. In particular, it produces world-class geophysics experts through a systematic curriculum that connects undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs.
Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "I am very pleased that both researchers are advancing to higher programs and continuing their in-depth research." He added, "I will do my best to systematically guide them to grow into core talents in the field of geophysics."
