🖥️ AI & Computing Sciences Division

The AI & Computing Sciences Division (AICS) advances the foundations and frontiers of artificial intelligence and computer science - from learning theory, computer vision, NLP, and generative foundation models to reinforcement learning, quantum computing, AI safety, and robotics - and applies them to accelerate discovery across every scientific division of GeoVerseLab. It pursues world-class fundamental AI/CS research while leading cross-division AI4Science programs and operating the institute's AI/HPC infrastructure. Its ten centers cover the full stack, from algorithmic theory to deployed exploration robots for planetary, deep-sea, subsurface, and aerial geoscience missions.
