[Seoul=GeoVis] Cho Yujeong and Cho Mingyu, undergraduate students from the Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University, participated in the "8th CCUS Academy" held from July 29th to 31st, acquiring the latest trends in CCUS technology.
This academy provided education on domestic and international CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) technologies and economic trends to achieve the 2030 greenhouse gas reduction targets. Students also gained in-depth knowledge of various overseas CCUS technology cases and the activities of foreign companies and governments to achieve greenhouse gas reduction targets.
Through this academy, Cho Yujeong and Cho Mingyu had a valuable opportunity to broaden their expertise in the CCUS field and enhance their understanding of practical technologies and policies for climate change response.
Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "It is very important for students to deepen their understanding of key future technologies like CCUS." He added, "We will continue to provide full support to help students actively participate in such educational programs and grow into talents who contribute to climate change response."
