Undergraduate Student Ga-Rim Park Wins Excellence Award in 2024 Summer 'Becoming a Corporate Master' Program

[Jeonju=GeoVis] Ga-Rim Park, an undergraduate student at the Geophysics Computing Lab of Jeonbuk National University, won an Excellence Award in the "2024 Summer Becoming a Corporate Master" competition.

This competition is organized by the Career and Employment Center of Jeonbuk National University, and it is a program that helps participants enhance their understanding of the overall industry through corporate visits and analysis, identify required competencies for each job, and systematically prepare for employment.

Ga-Rim Park, a member of the 'Sustainable' team composed of third-year students from the Department of Energy and Resources Engineering at Jeonbuk National University, visited Korea Gas Corporation and Samsung SDI, and established her career plan through mentoring interviews with current employees. Through this, she achieved a deep understanding of the industry and set clear job goals.

Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "Ga-Rim Park's award is a good example showing that students are actively participating not only in academics but also in practical career exploration and job preparation." He added, "We will continue to support students to grow into core talents of future society through various experiences."
