Geophysics Computing Lab Attends 2024 Korea Resources Engineering Spring Conference

[Yeosu=GeoVis] Members of the Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University announced on the 27th that they participated in the 122nd Spring Conference of the Korea Resources Engineering Society in 2024 and presented their latest research findings.

The conference was held at Sono Calm Yeosu, and the lab conducted the following presentations:

Oral Presentations:

  • Ju-Won Oh: 'Global Human Resources Development Project for Smart CO2 Geological Storage Site Operation'
  • Sea-Eun Park: 'International Collaborative Research for CO2 Geological Storage Geophysical Monitoring: The Sleipner Project in Norway'

This conference was an important venue for discussing the latest research trends and technological developments in the field of resource engineering. In particular, research related to Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology was actively presented.

A lab official stated, "Through participation in this conference, we were able to widely publicize our lab's research achievements and gain new ideas through exchanges with other researchers." They added, "We will continue to conduct research that contributes to the development of resource engineering in the future."
