Master's Student Jung Yunha Successfully Completes Research Dispatch at LBNL, USA

[Berkeley=GeoVis] Jung Yunha, a master's student at the Geophysics Computing Lab of Jeonbuk National University, has successfully completed her research dispatch at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in the United States.

This dispatch was part of the 'Energy Human Resources Development Project - Global Energy New Industry' program by the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning, and was supported by the 'Global Innovative Talent Training for Geophysical Exploration and Monitoring' project (Principal Investigator: Professor Ju-Won Oh). Jung Yunha stayed at LBNL from September 1, 2023, to March 23, 2024, dedicating herself to research.

During her dispatch, Jung Yunha gained in-depth academic experience by conducting research on subsurface imaging using 3D seismic survey data acquired from the Utah FORGE EGS (Enhanced Geothermal System) site in the United States. Jung Yunha stated, "I am grateful to everyone at LBNL who helped me."

Professor Ju-Won Oh emphasized, "Jung Yunha's dispatch will strengthen our lab's research capabilities and serve as an important stepping stone for students to grow into global experts." He added, "We will continue to expand such international cooperation opportunities in the future."
