Professor Ju-Won Oh Publishes 3D Seismic FWI Paper in IEEE TGRS

[Seoul=GeoVis] Professor Ju-Won Oh of the Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University published a new research paper in March 2024 in the world-renowned journal IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing (IEEE TGRS).

The paper, titled "Diffraction-Angle Filtering-Based Two-Step Acoustic Full-Waveform Inversion for 3-D Seismic Reflection Data," discusses a two-step acoustic Full-Waveform Inversion (FWI) technique based on diffraction-angle filtering for 3D seismic reflection data. This research was conducted through a successful collaboration with Seoul National University.

Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "This paper will contribute to improving the efficiency and accuracy of FWI for 3D seismic data," adding, "I will continue to contribute to the development of geophysical exploration technology through ongoing research."
