During this seminar, students from the lab shared their research progress and the latest research trends, fostering active academic exchange.

Key Presentation Contents:

  • Ji Hyeonggeun: Snowflake Monitoring Strategy (FWI strategy synthetic test/initial results of FWI strategy applied to real data/Time-lapse result changes by parameter/synthetic CO2 injection model creation)
  • Hyun-Wook Jo: Marmousi Final Results Otway Update (Comparison of pre- and post-CO2 injection data from undergraduate SU Marmousi lecture materials/Comparison of 2D inversion (gradient) of lines below Otway borehole/Otway 3D new area (Big3D)/Big 3D single-shot test)
  • Lee Youngjoo: Gravity and magnetic joint inversion (Gravity/Magnetics/SimPEG/Joint inversion)
  • Yun-Gon Park: 2.5D EM wave equation (2.5D EM wave equation/CSEM/Finite Element Method)
  • Koo Seunghyeon: Marmousi CO2 Injection Data (Original Marmousi values/Marmousi values after CO2 injection/Comparison model/Comparison model analysis)

This weekly seminar contributed to the lab members' understanding of each other's research and strengthened their research capabilities through feedback from various perspectives. In particular, in-depth discussions related to the latest geophysical technologies took place.

A lab official stated, "The weekly seminar is a core academic exchange platform for our lab." They added, "We will continue to share research achievements through ongoing seminars and grow into a leading lab in the future of geophysics."
