[Jeonju=GeoVis] The Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University announced its selection for the JBNU-G International Collaborative Research Project.

The selected project, titled 'Research on the Scalability of Full Waveform Inversion Technology for a Carbon-Neutral Society', will be conducted for one year, from February 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025. A total of 27 million won in research funding will be provided.

Through this project, the lab plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI), and actively pursue collaborative research to expand its international research network and promote cooperation on various projects.

In particular, the lab will focus on developing advanced geophysical technologies that contribute to achieving a carbon-neutral society through research on the scalability of Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) technology.
