Master's Student Kim Seokhan Publishes Paper on 4D Seismic Monitoring in Journal of KSMER
[Jeonju=GeoVis] Kim Seokhan, a master's student researcher at the Geophysics Computing Lab of Jeonbuk National University, announced on the 3rd that he published a paper in the Journal of the Korean Society of Mineral and Energy Resources Engineers.
The published paper is "Development of Structural Correction Technology for 4D Seismic Monitoring Data Considering Anisotropy", and was conducted through collaborative research with Seoul National University.
This paper is a study that deals with structural correction technology considering the anisotropic characteristics of subsurface media in 4D seismic monitoring, contributing to improving the accuracy of time-lapse monitoring, a key technology for CCS projects.
In particular, it received academic recognition by presenting innovative technology that systematically analyzes and corrects the effects of anisotropic media, which are often overlooked in existing structural correction techniques.
The achievement of Kim Seokhan, a master's student researcher, publishing a paper in a prestigious domestic academic journal is an example of the lab's excellent research capabilities.
