Undergraduate Student Yun-Gon Park Begins Dispatch Research at NGI, Norway

[Oslo=GeoVis] Yun-Gon Park, an undergraduate researcher at the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL), announced that he will begin a two-month dispatch research at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI).

Yun-Gon Park departed on December 30th as part of the Honam Region CCUS Innovative Talent Nurturing Program for greenhouse gas reduction and will conduct research activities at NGI until February 25th of next year.

During this dispatch research, he will conduct Sleipner CSEM inversion monitoring research with Dr. Joonsang Park of NGI. He also plans to enhance research synergy through close collaboration with PhD candidate Sea-Eun Park, who is already conducting joint research with NGI.

NGI is a research institution with world-class geophysical monitoring technology, and this dispatch research is expected to significantly contribute to the self-reliance of domestic CCS monitoring technology.
