[Perth=GeoVis] Hyun-Wook Jo, a master's student researcher at the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL), announced on the 10th that he attended the ASEG Tech Night in Perth, Australia.

ASEG Tech Night is a regular event where Australian research institutions, universities, and companies share the latest technologies and research status and network. At this event, the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) presented on 'Overview of Seismology at GSWA'.

GSWA researchers introduced a general analysis of earthquake occurrences in Western Australia and future earthquake exploration methods and monitoring plans. In particular, the latest research trends related to induced seismicity monitoring technology in Western Australia, where mining activities are active, were shared.

GSWA is a geological survey agency under the Western Australian government, responsible for collecting and managing geological resource information and playing a key role in mineral resource development and geological disaster response.

Hyun-Wook Jo is currently conducting long-term dispatch research at Curtin University in Australia, and through this event, he grasped the latest trends in the Australian geophysics community and established cooperative relationships with local researchers.

A lab official stated, "Hyun-Wook Jo is actively participating in various academic activities locally, broadening his international perspective." They added, "This experience will be a great help in the future development of his research."
