Researcher Yun-Ha Jung Enters Master's Program in Environmental Energy Convergence

[Jeonju=GeoVis] Yun-Ha Jung, an undergraduate student at the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL), announced that she has been admitted to the Master's program in Environmental Energy Convergence for the second semester of 2023.

Yun-Ha Jung successfully completed her undergraduate program and will begin her master's program in the same lab. She has consistently shown keen research interest and excellent academic achievement in the field of geophysics since her undergraduate years.

The Department of Environmental Energy Convergence is a representative interdisciplinary department at Jeonbuk National University, offering a multidisciplinary curriculum that encompasses environmental science and energy engineering. In particular, it focuses on fostering experts in climate change response and renewable energy.

In her master's program, Yun-Ha Jung plans to conduct research primarily on environmental monitoring using geophysical exploration techniques and analysis of energy storage characteristics. In-depth research on geophysical techniques required for CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) technology and geothermal energy development is specifically planned.

Based on her experience participating in numerous academic presentations and research projects during her undergraduate studies, she is expected to develop more professional and systematic research capabilities in her master's program.

The Geophysics Computing Lab continues its research tradition through continuous talent nurturing. It systematically develops students' research capabilities through consistent guidance from undergraduate to master's programs.
