Professor Ju-Won Oh Receives Excellent Paper Award from The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies

[Jeonju=GeoVis] Professor Ju-Won Oh of the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL) announced on the 6th that he received the Excellent Paper Award in Science and Technology from The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies.

This award was given based on the recommendation of the Korea Society of Mineral and Energy Resources, and the paper "Development of Structural Correction Technology for 4D Seismic Monitoring Data Considering Anisotropy" was selected as an excellent paper in the engineering field.

This research deals with 4D seismic monitoring technology that considers the important anisotropic characteristics in long-term monitoring of underground reservoirs, and it is evaluated as a technology with high practical value in carbon storage and resource development.

The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies is a representative organization of the Korean science and technology community, and it annually selects and awards excellent research achievements in each field.

Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "I am very pleased to have my lab's research capabilities recognized through this award." He added, "I will continue to contribute to the development of science and technology through ongoing research."
