Professor Ju-Won Oh Publishes Paper on 3D Anisotropic Seismic Imaging Technology in Journal of KSMER

[Jeonju=GeoVis] Professor Ju-Won Oh of the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL) announced on the 3rd that he published a paper in the Journal of the Korean Society of Mineral and Energy Resources Engineers in April 2022.

The published paper, titled "Trends in 3D Anisotropic Seismic Imaging Technology," was conducted through Professor Ju-Won Oh's sole research.

This paper is a review article that comprehensively analyzes the latest trends and development directions of 3D anisotropic seismic imaging technology, providing important guidelines for technological development in the domestic geophysical exploration field.

In particular, it systematically organized the characteristics of seismic wave propagation in anisotropic media, the principles of imaging technology using it, and the pros and cons of various recently developed algorithms, providing useful references for related researchers.
