Professor Ju-Won Oh Publishes Paper in International Journal Exploration Geophysics

[Jeonju=GeoVis] Professor Ju-Won Oh of the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL) announced on the 3rd that he published a paper in the international journal Exploration Geophysics in April 2022.

The published paper is "Acoustic full-waveform inversion to match far-offset reflections with pseudo-horizontal particle acceleration data", and was conducted through collaborative research with Seoul National University.

This paper is a study on acoustic full-waveform inversion techniques for matching far-offset reflections using pseudo-horizontal particle acceleration data, proposing a technological innovation in the field of seismic exploration.

In particular, it is evaluated to have contributed to the development of geophysical exploration by proposing a new approach that overcomes the limitations of existing full-waveform inversion techniques and increases the utilization of far-offset reflection data.
