Geophysics Computing Lab Presents CCS Technology Research at Korean Society of Climate Change Conference

[Jeju=GeoVis] Hyun-Wook Jo, Yun-Ha Jung, and Young-Ju Lee, undergraduate researchers from the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL), announced on the 4th that they attended the 2022 Korean Society of Climate Change Research Conference held at the Jeju International Convention Center from November 30th to December 2nd, 2022, and presented their research findings.

At this conference, the researchers presented their study on the current status of technology development for CO2 geological storage site exploration and monitoring for greenhouse gas reduction.

The presented research was conducted with support from the Energy New Industry Innovation Sharing University Project, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP), presenting the latest research trends in the CCS field, which is a key technology for achieving carbon neutrality.

The participation of undergraduate researchers in this conference was a valuable opportunity to enhance their understanding of climate change response technologies and strengthen their research capabilities through networking with experts in related fields.
